Lindsay Lohan recently celebrated her 28th birthday and it was definitely with a bang. Not only did the "Mean Girls" star sue the makers of "Grand Theft Auto V", she also shared photos of cuts and bruises on her legs.

On Wednesday, July 2, Lohan was spotted walking around New York City, an obvious indication that the actress already got back from London, where she stayed at for quite some time.

Around the same time, multiple sources revealed that Lohan has decided to sue the creators of video game called "Grand Theft Auto V" because they included a character that looked very similar to her, according to Just Jared.

The court filing claimed that the character who was named Lacey Johans is an "unequivocal reference to the actress and even uses her clothing line and places her at the Chateau Marmont where she once lived. The portraits of the plaintiff incorporated her image, likeness, clothing, outfits. Plaintiff's clothing line products, ensembles in the form of hats, hair style, sunglasses, jean shorts worn by the Plaintiff that were for sale to the public at least two years."

Lohan, according to the lawsuit filed in Manhattan, New York, seeks financial compensation for the "Parent Trap" actress.

The makers of the videogame allegedly earned $800 million following the release of the game back in September, SF Examiner reported.

Meanwhile, Lohan was also spotted walking around the streets of New York wearing short jean shorts that showed off some cuts and bruises on her legs, the Daily Mail noted.

Such sightings come along with rumors that the troubled actress is back in the city for now before she returns to London to star in David Mamet's play, "Speed The Plow."

In a previous interview with E! News, Lohan expressed excitement over the upcoming theatrical stint and said, "Having more than two decades of experience working in the entertainment and movie business, I am excited for the new challenge presented by a role which showcases the ins-and-outs of the American movie business."
