Bad news gaming fans! Looks like Square Enix new Final Fantasy game, Final Fantasy XV will not be available for the PC.
According to reports from Attack of the Fanboy, freelance writer Daniel Sims claimed that Square Enix will not have a PC version of Final Fantasy XV as he tweeted about it in his Twitter account.
Final Fantasy XV was not present in E3 2014 last month along with Kingdom Hearts 3 as Famitsu has reported before that Square Enix game producer Shinji Hashimoto has debunked previous reports regarding Final Fantasy XV appearance at the event.
"There was a misunderstanding in the reporting of that, a number of stories were accidently mixed into one."
"When I was asked about FFXV's presence at E3, the answer I gave was that 'I can't answer yet.' But somehow what I had said was framed in a different context when it was reported."
Square Enix was still in the development phase at that time, but Hashimoto claimed that Square Enix is taking all the available time and resources to improve the gameplay.
"First I'd like to say that development for FFXV is going well. Internally, we try to ascertain the best timing for revealing new information about FFXV to the fans. So when we were going over our promotion plans, we judged that this year's E3 would not be the best time to exhibit information about FFXV."
Meanwhile, Final Fantasy XV release date was changed yet again from March 2015 to mid-late 2015. According to reports from Gear Nuke revealed that Senior Research Analyst for Square Enix, David Gibson, said that since Square Enix are expecting lower game sales compared to last year, this could perhaps imply that Final Fantasy XV won't be released for this fiscal year ending March 2015.
Square Enix CEO Yosuke Matsuda stated that the game is made with Direct X 11 tools and hopes to install new software details in hopes of making the game look better.
"We haven't decided when, but we're currently preparing new information that may meet everyone's expectations. Please wait for a little while longer."
