iPhone 6 Release Date, Leaked Video Rumors: New leaked video rumors about the iPhone 6 release date reveal Apple Inc.’s (NASDAQ:AAPL) latest flagship smartphone will not be called 'iPhone 6', rather iPhone 'Air.'(Apple’s iPhone 6 may not be called iPhone).
According to leaks stemming from China, iPhone 6 (Air) will be released on September 15; this means the new iPhone will be available in stores by Thursday, September 25. Despite keeping 'mum' on details of the upcoming iPhone 6, a video leak in particular has shed new light on display, and the sapphire screen on the Apple iPhone.
One of the leaks discussed on Twitter, Facebook, websites and blogs is that the larger 5.5" edition will be the only model equipped with the128GB internal storage memory. Chinese leaks say that the iPhone 6 will have more space inside and that the 4.5" will be outfitted with 64 GB. In addition, the latest pictures of Apple's iPhone in the making show curved edges on the 4.7 model.
But the most exciting part is the display which has a curved glass screen and the sapphire glass which is exclusive to the 5.5" inch screen.
Seeking Alpha, analyst Matt Margolis spilled the leak on the sapphire cover glass: "As a result of my most recent supply chain check I believe that the Mesa sapphire operations will have ample supply to cover the iWatch, the 4.7″ iPhone and the 5.5″ iPhone with full sapphire cover glass in 2014. Additionally, the maximum sapphire screen capacity of the Mesa facility is likely to exceed 200m annual units," said Margolis.
According to 9to5Mac, a blog site dedicated to Apple products, the upcoming iPhone 6 will be more durable and flexible from the sapphire glass reveal in a YouTube video.
Another touted feature is the WiFi calling on iOS8, which is an option Apple has established for the iOS8 beta 3. The iPhone 6 announced with a release date in mid-September, and leaked videos come with a battery pack backed by 1900 mAh battery rating. Avoiding earth shattering battery power enables the iPhone to take on a slim shape.
