Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Update: Carriers To Receive Android 4.4.4 In July; KitKat Phantom Custom ROM 4.4.2 For Galaxy 2 N71000:

Sasmung Galaxy Note 2 update for Android devices has begun with global cellular network carriers with Australia tipped to get the update first.

Android 4.4.2 KitKat Phantom Custom ROM, is now ready for Galaxy 2 N71000. The Phantom custom ROM is built on Samsung's v 4,4,2 KitKat OS with Build No. XXUFND3. The update offers several customization features and tweaks to improve
performance and introduces APNs, CSC,stock themes, language support, hardware acceleration, Sqlite3 support, along with enhancing touch responsiveness, and battery life.

Carriers including Vodafone, Telstra and Optus can pass on their updates to subscribers. Just one small glitch for Galaxy Note 2 customers - software testing will be required ahead of Samsung Galaxy Note 2 update. The Galaxy Note 2 update for Android 4.4.4 is expected to unveil during early July.

While that update information is for Vodafon, it holds true for Optus and Telstra. A Breathecast report said Telstra will be unveiling the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 update around mid July while Optus will roll out Samsung Galaxy Note 2 update also in July.

Updates are available now for the Galaxy Note 2 and the Samsung Galaxy 2. The recently released Galaxy S5 will receive the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 if the Android L is releasegd. The Android 4.4.3 update will receive a fix for the Heartbleed bug. The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 update will bring several enhancements like improving battery life, performance, optimizing system apps. No details were given about services likeTouchWiz or apps that work exclusively on the Galaxy S5.
