Lebron James' return to Cleveland Cavaliers has generated celebrity tweet reactions as the decision to leave Miami Heat will impact on the three-time MVP's legacy.

Yahoo Sports collected celebrity tweets regarding Lebron James' return to Cleveland, from the funny, optimistic to the congratulatory, famous personalities weighed in on the decision that rocked the NBA.

Former SNL host Seth Meyers tweeted: "I've never been this happy for a city I don't have a rooting interest in. Congrats, Cleveland. Bravo, LeBron."

Comedian Owen Benjamin chimed in: "Lebron is keepin his #6 from the Heat and Cleveland is Ok with that. That's like your wife comin back from Jamaica with a 'deon' tattoo."

Rapper Snoop Dog added: "Drinks on me. Congrats Cleveland on Getn the king bac on his throne !!https://t.co/dimHPYAdf5."

Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel also gave his reaction: "YESSSSSSSS!! Couldn't be happier for my guy @KingJames and the @cavs #Cleveland."

Meanwhile, Sportsillustrated writer Lee Jenkins, who broke the story about Lebron James' return to Cleveland Cavaliers, said that King James' decision sets him up for a remarkable homecoming and one of the best stories in sports.

However, the writer said that's just the first step. Ultimately, Lebron James has to finish what he started and that means he has to win a championship with the Cavaliers.

"Can he win one in Cleveland?" Lee Jenkins said, adding that Lebron James is going to be 30 and with such a young core surrounding him, it's even more difficult to chase six rings to match Michael Jordan, or win one more to surpass who everybody considers as the greatest player ever.

"It's harder to reach Jordan, for instance," he said. "(However) he's not just picking up titles, he's picking up the significance of a title in this particular place. This puts him in a different road such as these other superstars."
