"X Factor Australia" season 6 premieres this week as it was confimred that "American Idol" judge J.Lo will appear as guest judge in the show.
"X Factor," a worldwide syndicated singing competition that showcases raw and unknown talents will have its Australia franchise seated again by judges Ronan Keating of 90s boyband 'Boyzone', Redfoo from the musical duo LMFAO, "All I Wanna Do" singer Dannii Minogue and former Rogue Traders member Natalie Bassingthwaighte.
The "X Factor Australia" season 6 premiere provided stellar performances for unknown artists.
Everybody's ecstatic as 14-year-old student Marlisa Punzalan opened the program with her hair-raising rendition of The Beatles' "Yesterday." Punzalan got all four judges and audience's standing ovation during the "X Factor Australia" premiere.
Finally, she received four nods allowing her to advance to the X Factor bootcamp. Maybe the "funky" colored leggings is really a confidence booster and lucky charm for her.
Next up is Melbourne-based Dean Pritchard. Geared with his guitar and leather jacket, the travelling musician hit all the right notes with the 2000 Kim Carnes hit "Bette Davis Eyes". While the cameras pan to most girls in the audience who enjoyed the rocker's rendition, Redfoo went crazy in is seat as the 22-year-old stunner sang.
Danii Minogue was all smiles throughout the performance, hinting that these two judges will give a "Yes" for Dean. In the end, the leather-clad guy who is "living all over the place" got four huge Yeses from the judges.
Other hopefuls include contestants who, instead of going solo, formed a trio to quintet groups. Just like the trio Beatz. This laidback, cool and childhood best friends showed their teenage personality on stage. Wearing their pink, yellow and purple boots by singing Gwen Stefani's "Hollaback Girl" with a thumping-like choreography to match the performance. Added to that were the blending voices and flawless rapping completed the electrifying performance. The trio got all judges to say "Yes"!
Reigan Derry, a 25-year old Perth-raised girl, introduced herself as a former member of the duo Scarlett Belle, who as per Ronan Keating recollection had performed years ago in the show. Reigan seems to be the lady version of Dean who impressed the judges with her melancholy but soothing version of Adele's "Someone Like You."

In other X Factor news, though, it's confirmed and will be happening soon: Jennifer Lopez will come to "X Factor Australia" as a fifth judge but only for three episodes. The Latina beauty will appear during the "home visits" segment of the singing competition and will also become a part of the four judges's selection of their top three contenders before they go into the live performances.
