Katherine Heigl is making her TV comeback through her upcoming NBC drama "State of Affairs" due this fall.

According to TIME.com, Katherine Heigl will make her TV comeback as she will play CIA analyst Charleston Tucker who provides daily briefs to the first female President (to be played by Alfre Woodard) on "State of Affairs."

As part of the promotion, Heigl and the "State of Affairs" cast and executive producers appeared at the TV Critics' Association (TCA) summer press tour in Beverly Hills welcoming questions about the upcoming drama.

But one particular question may not have been expected to be asked during the Q&A, and that is pertaining to Katherine Heigl's diva reputation and being a difficult person to work with on the set. Double whammy: The question was also aimed at her mom for having the same attitude.

Apparently, a journalist was brave enough to ask the question, which flustered Heigl. The query kept the actress quiet for a few moments, but responded to the question, as quoted by CeleBuzz: "I can only say that I certainly don't see myself as being difficult and I don't intend to be difficult. I don't think my mother sees herself as being difficult."

"I think it's always important to everybody to conduct themselves professionally and respectfully and kindly. So if I have ever disappointed somebody, it was never intentional," she added.

Adding to the awkwardness that just occurred, it was followed by a question from a critic directly asking Heigl's mom, Nancy, "Why are you here?" to which Katherine answered jokingly "She bakes us cookies and pours us glasses of milk."

The older Heigl responded, though, saying "[Katherine and I] work as a partnership. I am her mother for sure, so of course I have her best interests, but I'm really learning. But it's been fun and it's been interesting. I'm really new to it." E! Online reports. Katherine Heigl and her mom are listed as executive producers of the show.

The mother and daughter team-up has received harsh comments in the past as they have a reputation in the showbiz circle as the epitome of diva reputation and demanding personalities.

Katherine Heigl's TV comeback through "State of Affairs" will hopefully shed her negative reputation regarding her work ethic and diva attitude.

CeleBuzz noted that Katherine Heigl is best remembered as a cast member of TV show "Grey's Anatomy" who, despite being considered for an Emmy award, slammed the writing of the program and withdrew the consideration because she was not "given the material to warrant a nomination."

She also starred in the rom-com movie "Knocked Up" and later blasted the blockbuster hit as "sexist" and "paints women as shrews, as humorless and uptight, and it paints the men as goofy, fun-loving guys. It was hard for me to love the movie."
