Silver speaking at the sidelines of the Board of Governor's meeting, "We're in essence on hold since that sale is being challenged by her husband as to whether she has the right."
The NBA boss added, "If the court finds in her favor, the sale will move forward. If not, we will move
forward with our own proceedings," Fox reported
forward with our own proceedings," Fox reported
Silver said Donald is suing the NBA for a hefty sum of money and the NBA will have to shell out a large sum to fight the case.
The Sterling case is currently in a probate court to determine if the sale of the Clippers to Steve Ballmer for a record $2 Billion by Shelly Sterling is legal.
Shelly' lawyers say that she was given the right to sell based on signed testimony by Donald' s doctors that he is 'mentally incapacitated. ' Sterling' inability to function as a trustee of the Sterling Family Trust was assumed after a diagnosis that Mr. Sterling had Alzheimer's Disease.
