Three new fighters were added to The Super Smash Bros Warriors lineup through a novel marketing strategy.

Ranked among the most awaited games of 2014, the semi-abridged version will hit 3DS in autumn. Its full console release for the Wii U will be available to consumers in the holiday.

According to Forbes.com, although the Wii U version's success with its target market cannot be determined as of yet, given the constant changes in Nintendo's timetables, the company's marketing efforts have already been effective.

The company has released two videos. PCmag reported that this is part of Nintendo's marketing effort, especially intended to introduce gamers to the three new fighters in the Super Smash Bros. Warriors line-up: newbies Lucina and Robin from the Fire emblem and fan-fave Captain Falcon, whose presence has been ubiquitous in all of its four games.

Captain Falcon makes his appearance in the first video. Although he can be considered a staple, prolonging his introduction up to this point leaves gamers wondering whether he would make a comeback or not. The appearance of Lucina and Robin intensifies the video's appeal, delighting Fire Emblem fans.

In the second video, Reggie Fils-Aimé, chief operating officer of Nintendo of America, spoke to loyal fans. He expressed his gratitude for their continuous dedication to the series. The speech featured in this video was delivered during the EVO 2014, which took place before the finale of the Super Smash Bros. show.

Compared to other types of games, fighting games have that exclusive opportunity to add more fighters exponentially, which is true for Nintendo when three new fighters were added to Super Smash Bros. Warriors lineup.
