Good news to all Minecraft gamers! It is coming to Xbox One and PS4 a few weeks from now! According to the official site of Xbox, the game will debut at $19.99. But others might just save a lot of money as Xbox Wire shares:

"If you're moving up from "Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition" (either the disc or Xbox Live Marketplace version), the Xbox One upgrade will run you a mere $4.99. And, even better, you can upgrade at this price for a full year from the game's release!"

The game will feature scenic vistas and the option to import saved game data onto your own Xbox One! Meaning, there's no need to start from scratch! Just continue with your progress and enjoy the rest of the game!

According to Patrick Geuder Saga, the head of data analysis at Minecraft Studio, Minecraft sold over 54 million copies across all available platforms: Xbox 360, PlayStation3, PC, Mac, iOS and Android via his Twitter account.

To break down that data further, it seems Minecraft is getting majority of its sales in computers. They were the ones who bought almost 16million copies. The next biggest platform is Xbox 360 with 12million copies sold, and it's followed by PlayStation 3 with only 1.5million copies. , the game is expected to come for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in August 2014.

As of this moment, there is no news regarding the game coming to Nintendo platforms such as 3DS, Wii or Wii U.

The biggest reason why majority of gamers still choose to play games on PC, rather than on consoles is due to its graphics. since it is common knowledge that if one have a good computer, the visual will be way better than the console.

Even if Minecraft comes with larger world sizes in the computer version, it does not support split-screen multiplayer mode like the console does, which may be in handy if you have many friends at your place who want to play too.

Mojang, the developer of Minecraft, made a total profit of 326 million dollars in 2013 and now, with the upcoming release of Minecraft on next-generation consoles, it may score high.
