"House of Cards," season 3 spoilers are few and far between but a bit of good news for series fans as the cast and crew return to The Baltimore Sun to film new episodes. Meanwhile, the future for Frank Underwood appears bleak if the writers will follow the trajectory of the British drama where it's based on.

According to Baltimore Sun, the production team has been shooting in Maryland for several weeks now but on July 22, they headed to the newspaper's office where the production has been filming for the last two years. The office has been coverted into the fictional Washington Herald where Kate Mara's character worked.

"The producers are again renting space from The Sun for Season 3," it said. "The production is expected to be in and out of The Sun for the next three months or so."

The Netflix drama has been filming in the state after Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley gave tax credits to Media Rights Capital, creator of "House of Cards."

Earlier, Kevin Spacey was asked by Baltimore Sun to dish out "House of Cards" season 3 spoilers, specifically what happens to Frank Underwood, the actor said (and hopefully kidding): "Pope? The presidency is one thing, but how about Pope Francis?"

He said the showrunners, David Fincher and Beau Willimon, are not afraid to see through the end what they started, including seeing how dark Frank Underwood's character will become.

But the website Bustle revealed potential "House of Cards" season 3 spoilers based on the ending of the British show "Final Cut," which has become the basis of theNetflix series. In the British show, the protagonist Frank was trying to resolve a foreign row in Cyprus while also trying to control the oil deposits of the country.

In order not to tarnish Frank's legacy in "Final Cut," his wife Elizabeth had him killed instead. According to Bustle, it's not hard to picture out Claire Underwood making the same cold-hearted decision to have him killed to protect Frank Underwood's legacy as president.
