"House of Cards" season 3 spoilers revealed that Doug Stamper won't make it to see what happens to Frank Underwood's presidency. The premiere date, meanwhile, is still not set although reports claimed that it's going to be in mid-2015.

Creator Beau Willimon revealed "House of Cards" season 3 spoilers via Twitter Q&A that Doug Stamper, the loyal aide to Kevin Spacey's Frank Underwood, will die

In "House of Cards" season 2, chapter 26, Doug Stamper (Michael Kelly) was bludgeoned by Rachel Posner with a rock while he chased him into the woods. However, his eyes twitched which means there's still hope that he would survive.

Earlier "House of Cards" season 3 spoilers claimed that he will be back, whether it will be a corpse or not is not clear, because the first episode of the third season will have police investigating his death.

While Beau Willimon said that he will die, he said that Rachel Posner (Rachel Brosnahan) will still be around next season to tie up loose ends.

Meanwhile, Bustle said that if the "House of Cards" will follow the same trajectory as Shakespeare's play Richard III, where the show was based on, then the future is bleak for Frank Underwood.

"Like all Shakespearian tragedies, Richard III ends with the death of its titular character," it said. "In the midst of battle, the mad king is unhorsed and faces Richmond in a duel. Richmond avenges his father's death and regains the throne for himself by slaying Richard once and for all."

The website then added, "There's really no other way House Of Cards could end, either. Frank has done too many terrible things, and climbed too high, not to suffer a fatal fall."

In the British version of "House of Cards" titled "Final Cut," the character played by Kevin Spacey is killed by his wife, Elizabeth, not out of spite but to protect his legacy.
