The "Fifty Shades of Grey" trailer got more than 16 million views in just six days, as the erotic drama is a sure bet for a blockbuster in its schedule release a day before Valentine's Day.

The "Fifty Shades of Grey" trailer release shows the first meeting between Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson) and Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan) as well as the famous Red Room of Pain. While it may appear erotic, both actors revealed that their sex scenes were anything but. The preview also featured a sexier and "exclusive version" by Beyonce of her hit single "Crazy in Love."

"It's not, like, a romantic situation. It's more, like, technical and choreographed and less ... it's more of a task," Dakota Johnson (Anastasia Steele) said on the "Today" show.

Jaime Dornan, who plays Christian Grey, said that they made the sex scenes work because they trust each other.

"That's a big part of it ... having trust," he explained, according to MailOnline. "Because, you know, we got ourselves into situations that don't feel that sort of natural and they're not that easy and you need to have the trust there."

They also explained that the "Fifty Shades of Grey" trailer release shown on "Today" was heavily edited to make sure that it's "appropriate for breakfast TV."

Meanwhile, according to Forbes magazine, the "Fifty Shades of Grey" trailer shown on TV was green-banded for general audiences even if "the last ten seconds are arguably not safe for work."

It also said that the studio is gambling that the erotic film would make for a nice date movie when it will be released on February 13, 2015.

"Universal is either betting that women will drag their significant others to this erotic drama as something of a Valentine's Day date movie and/or that single women will take in the picture as a kind of girls' night out outing for the manufactured romantic holiday," Scott Medelson wrote for Forbes.
