Singer Aretha Franklin was reportedly kicked out of a restaurant in Canada after performing at a sold-out show, said a report from The Hollywood Reporter. The 72-year-old singer, dubbed as "Queen of Soul," was allegedly shown no R-E-S-P-E-C-T by a server, whom the legend called "very rude, unprofessional, and nasty."
A rep of singer Aretha Franklin narrated that the incident took place last Tuesday at a Johnny Rockets restaurant located on the Canadian side of Niagara Falls.
According to the spokesman, the Aretha Franklin was kicked out of a restaurant after performing at a sold-out show. After ordering a hamburger and taking a seat, the server allegedly screamed at singer Aretha Franklin, saying she is not allowed to sit down since she ordered takeout.
In a statement, Franklin described the worker as ""very rude, unprofessional and nasty."
A spokeswoman for Johnny Rockets said the franchise owner already apologized for the actions of the server, whom the restaurant says is "a new and very young employee." The owner has also clarified the restaurant's takeout policies with the employee.
Fortunately, it seems the apology was accepted after Aretha Franklin was kicked out of the restaurant. Just days after the incident, Franklin was reported by Huffington Post to be in high spirits and all set to debut new music for her Ohio State Fair performance.
The singer also joked that, more than the music, she is jazzed about the food selection of the event.
"I love the state fair," says Franklin, who is scheduled to perform at the said event this coming Thursday night.
Aside from the eventful Canada show and the Ohio State Fair, Franklin's 2014 tour also includes performances at the Wisconsin and Minnesota state fairs in August.
Franklin has also revealed in the Huffington Post report that her Columbus performance will consist of familiar songs, selections from a soon-to-be-released CD being produced by Babyface and Andre 3000, and some surprises.
