Celebrate with Barack Obama, in honor of his 53rd birthday!
You might think the most powerful man in the world wouldn't run short of a greeting card. It seems, though, the U.S. president is worried about not getting a greeting from well-wishers.
The person in charge of managing the president's Twitter account is reaching out to people all over the world. On behalf of the president, Obama's Twitter tweet encouraged people all over the world to sign his e-card via Twitter.
Various posts similar to this Barack Obama tweet have been circulating around starting last week, according to The Independent. These posts were followed by the usual professional post today about healthcare reform.
The Twitter birthday card was conceived by the Organizing for Action. This organization is non-profit welfare inclined, that is focused on encouraging Obama's platforms. This organization has been keeping audiences up-to-date about the card signing, concerned that the people will forget about Obama's special day.
The Democratic National Committee email noted that," 327,881 people have signed the President's card".
The president has never let things get far behind in celebrating his birthday. He started the weekend before his birthday with golf, before going on a trip in the Maryland Mountains, as reported by The Associated Press via Emirates 24/7.
The Associated Press reported Barack Obama pre-birthday celebration, saying:
"In what's become an annual birthday tradition, he's joining friends on the green for an early morning round at Andrews Air Force Base in suburban Maryland. He'll board Marine One later Saturday for the short helicopter flight to Camp David, the presidential retreat in the Catoctin Mountains."
