New updates for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 2 have been revealed.
Three Shield agents are rumored to have special guest appearances within the show.
According to reports from Den of Geeks, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. creators Joss and Jed Whedon pitched in an idea of having characters from the Avengers to guest star in the new episodes in season 2. Jed hinted that these characters are well renowned Shield agents and fans have speculated that these characters are none other than Black Widow/Natasha Romanov and Hawkeye/Clint Barton.
Several comic book fans wanted to see Hawkeye in the show to explain his absents during HYDRA'S takeover of S.H.I.E.L.D. in season 1.
But these two aren't the only characters to make an appearance in season 2. Sharon Carter a.k.a. Agent 13 is also rumored to join Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and is hinted to be a series regular. Sharon Carter first appeared in Captain America: The Winter Soldier played by Emily VanCamp.
So far, there is no confirmation yet these three agents will guest star in the show, but the possibilities are limitless.
In other news, a new cast member joins the show as "Friday Night Lights" star Adrianne Palicki will be playing Agent Bobbi Morse or popularly known as Mockingbird.
Mockingbird was first mentioned in a video presentation of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. during the panel discussion in San Diego Comic Con 2014.
THR (via Screen Rant) has reported that Mockingbird will appear in episode 5 of the show as a guest character, but indicated a possibility of being a series regular in season 2.
For those who are not aware of Mockingbird in the Marvel Comics, she is top Shield agent and a member of the Avengers ( West Coast Avengers, New Avengers, and the Secret Avengers). She is also once married to Avengers member Hawkeye.
Lastly, there have been reports that Chloe Bennet's character Skye will develop powers in season 2.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 2 will likely focus on Skye's mysterious past and everyone knows that Skye is not human to begin with. There have several rumors and theories surrounding Skye's origin, and her parents as well.
ComicBook.com reports that an allege Marvel Facebook fan page claimed that Skye will have abilities similar to the Inhuman character Crystal in which she has elemental powers, but as it turns out it was nothing more than a fan's suggestion for the writers of the show.
