Finally, the "Star Wars Rebels" release date is out - mark it on your calendars: October 13 on Disney XD at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT.

According to the Star Wars website, WATCHDisneyXD.com and WATCH Disney XD app verified users can enjoy the one-hour animated special "Star Wars Rebels: Spark of Rebellion" on September 29, Monday. On October 3, Friday, fans can look forward to the television premiere of "Star Wars Rebels: Spark of Rebellion" on Disney Channel at 9 in the evening ET/PT. For those who will want to buy through Amazon Prime, Disney XD VOD, Google Play, and Apple iTunes, they only have to wait for the next day as the "Star Wars Rebels: Spark of Rebellion" will be available on October 4.

By October 6, Monday, "Star Wars Rebels: Spark of Rebellion" will be shown on Disney XD at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT. By next Monday, October 13, viewers can tune in to Disney XD 9:00 p.m. ET/PT for the premiere of the "Star Wars Rebels" series. "Star Wars Rebels" Spark of Rebellion" DVDs are out in the market on October 14, Tuesday.

As stated in the press release, the story develops with the evil Galactic Empire trying to get a hold of the power on the galaxy. The imperial forces have invaded a far-off planet and destructing the lives of its inhabitants. Kanan, Hera, Ezra, Zeb, Sabine, and Chopper will not take all these sitting down as they will fight against it. All of them will get to face new villains, come across exciting quests, and turn into heroes that will therefore initiate rebellion.

"Star Wars Rebels" is the creation of Carrie Beck, Simon Kinberg of "X-Men: Days of Future Past", and Dave Filoni of "Star Wars: The Clone Wars". Freddie Prince Jr. is the voice behind Kanan. Other voice cast includes Vanessa Marshall (Hera), Steve Blum (Zeb), Tiya Sircar (Sabine), Taylor Gray (Ezra), Jason Isaacs (Inquisitor), and David Oyelowo (Agent Kallus).
