Jimmy Fallon couldn't help but give Jared Leto a makeover when the 'Dallas Buyers Club' actor visited NBC's 'The Tonight Show' with Jimmy Fallon last Wednesday.
The hilarious TV show host earlier likened the Oscar winner to Jesus with his long hair and bushy beard, as did several other fans that Leto encountered.
"It's interesting because I have been asked to do some resurrections lately and they're incredibly exhausting," the actor gamely answered. "A sermon on a mountain once in a while is okay."
When the veteran host asked the 30 Second To Mars frontman if he could take his beard "down a notch," Leto readily agreed, not knowing that a shaver had already been prepared beforehand.
"I have the clippers right here, if you don't mind," Fallon told the shocked star.
"Right here, right now-holy s--t!" Leto exclaimed. "Have you ever done this before?"
He looked slightly panicked and definitely "nervous" but he did allow the host to get to work on his beard despite Fallon's inexperience. Fallon even had to change razor blades at one point for a better cut.
"I've been growing this since the Oscars. I'm very attached to it." the 42-year-old actor informed Fallon as the latter continued to trim his beard.
With an audience member's encouragement, Leto allowed Fallon to finish the Jared Leto makeover.
Despite the shock, the singer-actor seemed to like the result, telling Fallon, "You trimmed my bush really good."
Aside from the hilarious hair styling, the duo also engaged in an "intense staredown" during the show.
The sat crossed legged in front of each other with a mountain range as backdrop, complete with fog and snow effects. They threw life's greatest mysteries at each other, including Leto being a succubus, emanating sexual energy through his epidermis, and smelling like an ocean bird.
"I've spoken to the earth. I've scaled every tree. I've crawled through the trenches," Leto says at one point. "This is their message: haters gonna hate."
