The Asus Smartwatch release date is anticipated to be on Sept. 3, during the International Franchise Association Berlin 2014. Asus tweeted "Something #Incredible is going to happen at #IFA2014, see you there!" But what seems to be blurred is the news about its specs.
The event, according to Venture Capital Post, is the most awaited consumer trade show because it is an ideal location for technology giants like Apple to introduce their new wearable devices.
What makes the gadget something to watch out for aside from the Asus Smartwatch release date and specs is its alleged price tag - between $99 and $149. The company made sure of an inexpensive yet functional smartwatch when it announced about the coming of a new product earlier this year at the Google I/O Conference.
"Our smartwatch will have many key features, including notifications and capabilities of understanding users to help them solve many real-time problems. Eventually, however, we still expect consumers to replace their own watches (with our smartwatch), and that's why the device's form factor matters," said Jonney Shih, Asus Chairman.
ZenWatch, the name of the Asus smartwatch that is clearly derived from the lines of Asus ZenFones, is supposed to come in curved display. The teaser video posted by the company seemed to verify this. Watch the video below, and grow your imagination and raise your interest.
Aside from Asus smartwatch release date, specs are also another aspects of news coming out. it isbelieved that this smartwatch will run Android Wear, considering that the company is among official Android Wear partners of Google, Phone Arena reported. Asustek CEO Jerry Shen told The Tech Portal that ZenWatch "will initially pack English-enabled voice recognition when it goes on sale in October." He also added that "The watch would be launched in October in the U.S. and other selected markets. We are expecting the watch to launch in Asia along with U.S., largely because of the pricing, which seems to be targeting emerging markets."
