Dancing with the stars season 19

Dancing with the Stars Julianne Hough will be judging the show fairly, even if her own brother, Derek Hough, is among the show's contestants. The amazingly beautiful and skilled professional dancer and actress is part of the official cast of the latest season of "Dancing with the Stars." Only, this time, she will be seated at the other side of the dance floor as part of the show's panel of judges.

"Dancing with the Stars" Julianne Hough has been very vocal about her promises that she will not be giving her own brother a free pass. She told HollywoodLife.com in an exclusive interview, "Everyone's fair game at this point. It's not me judging my brother - it's me judging the collaboration and connection that he has with his partner and the growth that I see her do." Derek's partner is YouTube sensation Bethany Mota.

"Dancing with the Stars" Julianne Hough then added, "If I see something where I'm, like, 'Yo, Derek. You didn't up your game with your partner. She could have done better this week,' then I will call him out for sure. I'm not afraid of that. But, he knows and hopefully everybody else knows, too. It's never to diss anybody or call anybody out, it's because I really do want to see the people improve."

She is not worried about having to call certain people out since she is in her league, given that she is a professional dancer. She told HollywoodLife.com, "I've grown up around it my whole life. I used to compete; I won - not to sound cocky! I do have some knowledge, as far as technique goes. But, also, on the other hand, it's all about performance, too, and I've been on that other side, and I know how important it is to connect with the audience and the fans. I'm going to be honest and direct, but I'll let things slide every once in a while."

She will be alongside the show's veteran judges, Bruno Tonioli, Len Goodman, and Carrie Ann Inaba.

The 19th season of "Dancing with the Stars" had a two-night premiere last night, September 15 with the first elimination show airing the next day with a special duet performance from Aloe Blacc and Smokey Robinson.
