CBS' new psychological crime drama, 'Stalker' season 1, will premiere on the first of October and it's already drawing attention with its cast and "chilling" trailer.
Headlining the new series are 'Nikita' star Maggie Q and 'American Horror Story' actor Dylan McDermott as co-stars in what has been dubbed as a 'psychological thriller.'
Working for the LAPD's special department, Threat Assessment Unit, Lieutenant Beth Davis (Maggie Q) and Detective Jack Larsen (McDermott) will be investigating cyber harassment, romantic fixation, and other crimes that involve a person's mental state.
They will be joined by Victor Rasuk as the young and eager detective Ben Caldwell and Mariana Klaveno as the super smart member of the group.
Deadline has also reported 'Law & Order' actress Elizabeth Rohm's casting for 'Stalker' season 1 as Deputy District Attorney Amanda Tate.
The new series will be written by Kevin Williamson, who is best known for working on 'The Secret Circle,' 'The Vampire Diaries,' and 'Dawson's Creek' as well as the movie, 'I Know What You Did Last Summer.'
With his latest reputation for all things creepy, Williamson did not disappoint in the show's trailer.
E! News described the trailer for 'Stalker' season 1 as "chilling," "scary as hell" and "realistic, that-could-totally-happen-to-you nightmares."
The publication also issued a warning for viewers who are not fond of psychologically creepy shows; "bail out now because it's only going to get way more intense as the season goes forward."
However, for those who have missed seeing Maggie Q on TV, then this show is the one to watch. McDermott has also already proven his horror capabilities during his stint as the cheating husband and psychologist in the first season of 'American Horror Story.'
With an October premiere, the new CBS show would be a great start for the Halloween season. Do you have the guts to watch 'Stalker?'
