"Hunters," an alien terrorism TV series, will be in the works soon as Syfy has designated "The Walking Dead" producers to come up with a new show with the concept as a theme. However, although the show's producers and those of the post-apocalyptic zombie series are the same, there are no indications or whatsoever about Norman Reedus joining the cast as of yet.
Entertainment Weekly has recently shared this exciting information. People have had TV series delving into aliens and alien invasions in the past. One example is "Falling Skies, " which delves into the struggle of the remaining humans on earth as they wage battle for homo sapiens survival against a horde of vicious creatures from outer space (IMDB).
Terrorism, on the other hands, has also had its fair share of the limelight in TV series like "The Black List." Here James Spader plays Raymond "Red" Reddington, a wanted man who suddenly surfaces after years of evading capture to offer the NBI help in catching a terrorist (IMDB).
Although both genres have long been used in such TV series and various film creations, an alien terrorism TV series like "Hunters" (an alien terrorism TV series), which combines both, is not common.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Syfy has given 13 episodes for the first season of the alien terrorism TV series that Gale Ann Hurd of "The Walking Dead" and "Terminator" movie series will be producing. Natalie Chaidez has been tasked to pen the debut episode script whose events center on the plot revolving around an alien terrorist network operating in planet earth.
The site reported that Syfy was so impressed by the pilot script from the producer-writer team that they skipped traditional procedures and automatically gave the go signal to start "Hunters," an alien terrorism TV series.
The network has described the new TV series to be not only innovative, but also fast paced. As of this point, no other details about the characters or story has been revealed yet. They have only revealed the main core of the story previously mentioned. "Hunters," the alient terrorism TV series, is slated for release in 2016.
