Prince William delivered the latest news on Kate Middleton's pregnancy as he revealed that the Duchess of Cambridge is having morning sickness. Queen Elizabeth and the rest of the royal family are also said to be delighted and excited with the coming of Prince George's younger sibling.
Prince William visited Malta as proxy to his pregnant wife Kate Middleton.
Prince William joked, "I'm sorry you've got me instead of Catherine." The Malta visit was supposed to be the Duchess of Cambridge's first solo overseas visit.
"She's very disappointed she couldn't be here today," Prince William said to the hundreds o audience who welcomed him during his visit.
A report from E! Online, said the 32-year-old Kate Middleton's pregnant condition led her to experiencing pregnancy sickness. The Duchess of Cambridge's morning sickness, diagnosed as Hyperemesis Gravidarum, requires hydration, medication and nutrients all the time.
Prince George's mother is reportedly under the close supervision of her physicians at the Kensington Palace to ensure her safety.
Prince William even said that the soon-to-be mother-of-two is "so-so" when asked by a visitor about his wife's condition being pregnant with their second child.
In a report by the Examiner, one of the reasons why the Duchess of Cambridge preferred staying at home is that false rumors about her pregnancy might leak.
"Upon her previous pregnancy a nurse in a public hospital did just that. It was upsetting for the family of this woman since she broke a confidence at the hospital and realized what she did after it was too late, became so distraught she committed suicide," the Examiner added.
Meanwhile, Queen Elizabeth and the rest of the royal family expressed their delight on Kate Middleton pregnant news,
"Their Royal Highnesses, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, are very pleased to announce that the Duchess of Cambridge is expecting their second child," Clarence House said in a statement two weeks ago.
The statement added, "The Queen and members of both families are delighted with the news."
A report from Mirror UK also revealed that Prince Harry's older brother will be attending a meeting with the President of Malta as well as attend a service at Malta's St John's Cathedral.
