The funeral of once-promising but deceased actress Jung Ah Yool was held at 11AM local time on the 15th.

Held at the funeral home of a hospital in Seoul's Kang Nam district, the ceremony included family, relatives, friends and colleagues, and is said to have been filled with their tears and mourning.

The up-and-coming actress was found at her home on the 12th, having apparently hanged herself. Her agency Minor Name Entertainment released an official statement on the morning of the 14th, stating that "Jung Ah Yool was found deceased on the 12th. The exact cause of death is being determined presently."

Leading up to her suicide, Jung Ah Yool displayed various signs of severe depression, writing on her Facebook on the 10th that "I woke up this morning with the feeling of standing alone in a desert, all so suddenly after all these years of having lived independently since 19. In my room with nowhere to turn, the weight of the world feels like such a burden and I'm overwhelmed with a terrifying horror that I have to deal with it on my own.

"Seems like I have a long way to go to grow up. I miss my parents."

Adding to the sadness of fans, the actress added on the 11th that "nothing can make me feel better" before apparently committing suicide.

Jung Ah Yool was a promising, blossoming new actress who was casted in last May's KBS 2TV novel 'Love, My Love' as the friend of protagonist Hong Seung Hee (played by Hwang Sun Hee).
