Evernote has recently announced a new set of features for its users. One of the most outstanding features so far is the new mobile scanning ability.
During the Evernote conference held just last Thursday, Phil Libin, CEO of Evernote, described the specific features that they have for their users.
The "scannable" feature will be made available soon-it is said it will be ready for this year. Scannable is a document scanning app. This means mobile phone users will just simply put the documents in front of the camera, and the application will capture it automatically. There is no need to press the camera button. The app will also has the ability to categorize documents by type. It knows the difference between various items. For instance, it can differentiate receipt and card.
This Scannable app is also capable of controlling the ScanSnap Evernote edition scanner.
Penultimate is another feature. The tablet sketch app has bee redesigned to make it more elegant and simple for mobile users. Unfortunately, Libin did not show how to use the new Penultimate.
Evernote has also made available an improved web client for its users. It is considerably more modern looking and cleaner than the previous version. This time, according to Libin, the web client is made to reduce distraction.
Interestingly, Evernote will also bring Work Chat. This will allow people to work together and allow a team view a note and collaborate real-time.
The company has also made a public announcement that it has a partnership with Moleskine. It is actually a planner in which items can be entered on day headers, and then they are automatically filed by date once you snap a photo of pages using your Evernote mobile app.
With these new features, more mobile phone users will surely find this app useful.
