Lee Sang Woo is taking his first swing at historical drama.
The actor's agency Humane Entertainment revealed on Thursday morning that he has been confirmed for the cast of the upcoming MBC Monday-Tuesday drama 'Horse Doctor', set to begin airing in September.
Lee Sang Woo will be playing Lee Sung Ha, a handsome and intellectual individual who will be part of a triangle relationship with Baek Kwang Hyun (played by Jo Seung Woo) and Kang Ji Nyung (played by Lee Yo Won). In particular, a conflicting relationship forms between Baek Kwang Hyun and Lee Sung Ha, whose father was involved in the death of Baek Kwang Hyun's father.
The actor himself confidently stated, "I am excited to appear on a historical drama for the first time. I will try to show a better self."
Humane Entertainment's president Bae Sung Eun also described this opportunity as a potential turning point for Lee Sang Woo's acting career, and said that Lee Sang Woo is busy "analyzing his character" and that he would try his his hardest to show his best image.
