There is a rumor spreading that there will be an 'X-Men' TV series and the said project will include the comic book characters like Quick Silver and Jamie Madrox aka Multiple Man.

On Screen Rant article posted last October 9, the publication cited Bleeding Cool for claiming that the studio is currently in "deep development" on a live-action X-Men TV series. SR said, this rumor could be related with X-Men writer/producer Simon Kinberg's previous statement that "the serialized format of comic books is better suited for TV." There is also a news that the TV series would be based on the X-Men spin-off series X-Factor.

Film Divider reported the main hurdle for the X-Men live action TV series is the decision-making about who to cast in it, since it will have a shared universe with the 'X-Men' movies.

By using minor characters or original characters risks not giving the show enough draw, and also the effects of featuring major X-Men could lead to those characters "burning up" outside of the movie franchise. As per Film Divider's opinion, the solution to this is to include a character who gained a lot of fans this year, which is Quicksilver.

The film blog also noted the idea of using Jamie Madrox AKA Multiple Man. This character (played by Eric Dane) appeared in "X-Men: The Last Stand". The blog writer of FD, Alasdair Stuart, said this idea might sound vague, but if the series will be based on David's run of the "X-Factor" series, then both Multiple Man and Quicksilver would likely be part of the line-up, alongside Polaris, Havok and the rest of the characters.

What are your thoughts about the "X-Men" TV series?
