Android 4.4: Rolling Out To Samsung Galaxy Note 3, Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet But Android 4.4.4 KitKat Updates Not Reaching Devices, Gives Way To High Expectations For Android L

Android 4.4. Reports say that new Kitkat updates are coming your way as Samsung most recent updates are released. The devices to receive a KitKat include Samsung Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy S3 and S5 and Galaxy 10.1. Incidentally, Sprint was the first carrier to haul the KitKat version to Galaxy Note 3. Android watchers may ask what's new about Andoid 4.4. Everything from new features, fine-tuned design and improved performance.

For Galaxy Note 3 users, that spells International WiFi, HD voice icon, security patches, Knox 2.0 and Kids Mode.

Android KitKat roll outs are not very timely, according to analysts, which has some users still using the Android 4.4.2 version while the Android 4.4.4 is being rolled out. Currently, KitKat 4.4.4 is rolled four Galasy S3, Galaxy Note3, and Galasy S4 and Galaxy S5. It's apparent to consumers that a haphazard way of releasing updates will affect Android's growth in comparison to iOS and Blackberry. This problem is similar to Windows 8 OS, Update 1 which had to be recalled due to a major error ending in the 'blue screen of death.'

Sony Xperia Z2 users are also complaining that they are not getting the expected Android 4.4.4 KitKat rollout OS. Although a number of tablets have already received the Android 4.4.4, the Xperia Z2 tablet has not. This worries users and the same is true for users of the Xperia Z2 smartphones.

But the Xperia blog say that the Android 4.4.4 firmware has been certified and will roll out right away if it has not already done so. The tablet roll out will include both LTE and Wif-Fi versions.

Gigjets.com explains, "The Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet sports a 10.1-inch TFT full HD display (1920 x 1200 pixel resolution) with a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.3GHz along with with 3GB of RAM and 16 or 32GB of space. There's a nice 6000 mAh battery, as well,' adding, 'Xperia Z2 Android 4.4.4 firmware has been certified for D6502, D6503 variants of the smartphone and the Xperia Z2 Tablet Android 4.4.4 firmware has been certified for SGP521, SGP541 variants."

The bottom line is that users of a number of devices like Xperia Tablet and the G Note 3 smartphone are eagerly awaiting the Android L, which should signal the end of Android 4.4 troubles in the long run.
