Actor Kim Moo Yul has decided not to take part in filming for the movie 'AM 11:00,' which he was supposed to take the lead for. He was planning to start filming mid-July. However, due to the results released by the Board of Audit and Inspection of Korea and Military Manpower Administration (MMA) and the controversy that resulted, he has decided not to take part in the movie.
An official in the movie industry said on the 8th that, "Up till Friday, Kim Moo Yul was getting his costumes ready and meeting with the other actors to practice scenarios. No matter what, we were trying not to disrupt preparations for the movie. However, after much deliberation, we have come to an agreement." Another official said, "We did not have any plans to let Kim Moo Yul go before anything was released from the re-investigation by the MMA because we did not want to cause any misunderstandings. However, him leaving was a decision made from both sides."
The controversial report about how he might have intentionally avoided military duties was first released in June. However, the re-investigation will be continued. As for the movie 'AM 11:00,' an actor has been asked to take Kim Moo Yul's spot. However, on the 8th that actor's representatives replied, "Yes, he have been offered the role but we have not decided on anything yet."
