The BET Hiphop Awards 2014 finally aired the other night and revealed the winners and highlights from the pre-taped event. According to a report from CNN, among the artists recognized were Drake, Kendrick Lamar, and DJ Mustard.
Canadian rapper Drake won two awards at the BET Hiphop Awards 2014. His 2013 release "Nothing Was The Same" won Album of the Year, besting Eminem's "The Marshall Mathers LP 2", Future's "Honest", Rick Ross' "Mastermind", Schoolboy Q's "Oxymoron", and Yo Gotti's "I Am".
Aside from Album of the Year, Drake also received the People's Champ Award for "Worst Behavior".
After his Grammy Awards upset last year, Westcoast rapper Kendrick Lamar won the BET Hiphop Awards 2014 for Lyricist of the Year and Best Featured Verse. The awards were for his hit project, "Control".
Another big winner that night was DJ Mustard, whose popular project was rapper YG's "My Hitta". The producer was recognized at the BET Hiphop Awards 2014 as DJ of the Year, Producer of the Year, MVP of the Yeae, and Track of the Year for "My Hitta" .
According to a report from Rap-Up, the BET Hiphop Awards 2014 was hosted by veteran rapper Snoop Dogg. The Westcoast hip hop legend appeared in several comedy skits throughout the event, which was held in Boisfeuillet Jones Atlanta Civic Center in Atlanta.

According to a report from Hollywood Life, the "Don't Panic" artist has been in the news recently for his controversial, short-lived relationship with "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" star Khloe Kardashian.
The Rap-Up article also reported the "reunion" between R&B singer Brandy and female rappers Queen Latifah, MC Lyte, and Yo-Yo. The group performed a hip-hop remix of Brandy's debut single "I Wanna Be Down", which was released 20 years ago.
Rapper TI also performed the song "All About The Money" with Young Thug, said the Rap-Up report.
Singer Keyshia Cole attended the BET Hip Hop Awards 2014 amid news of her recent assault scandal. According to the Rap-Up report, the "Last Night" female vocalist reportedly attacked a woman in the condominium unit of rapper Birdman, whom Keyshia Cole is said to be dating.
Birdman was one of the performers during the awarding ceremony, taking on the stage with Rich Homie Quan and Young Thug for the track "Lifestyle".
