"House of Cards" cast Kevin Spacey goes hardcore as he lends his voice as the villain of "Call of Duty: Advance Warfare."
Activision just released a trailer for "Call of Duty: Advance Warfare" and games also got a sneak peak of "House of Cards" cast Kevin Spacey who will play Jonathan Irons, the CEO of the private military operation, Atlas Corporation, according to Cinema Blend.
The main character is former US Marine Jack Mitchell who joined Atlas Corp. after he was wounded out of commission in Seoul, Korea. Billed as a super-soldier of sorts, Mitchell is garbed in the latest hardware called exoskeleton to launch surgical strikes at targets all around the globe.
The press release from Activision said the exoskeleton will allow the player to cheat the laws of physics as it boosts the ability to jump, dodge and dash in superhuman speed.
"I'm going to take a lazy glance at my crystal ball here and say that Mitchell probably ends up fighting against Atlas itself eventually," Pete Haas wrote for Cinema Blend. "I mean, Kevin Spacey can't just be a good guy, can he? I don't think you get the guy from House of Cards to play a kindly boss without evil plans."
In a piece from Fast To Create, "House of Cards" cast Kevin Spacey will trigger the main conflict in the story arc as he declares "that he's going on an act of war on my authority!"
The franchise is among the most successful first-person shooter brands since it was released in 2003. From 13 core titles, it has gone on "an impossible-to-count number of expansion/add-on/ancillary titles added to the roster in the meantime, on various platforms and devices."
While the franchise started off with a simple plot as allies battle Germans during World War II, but the series quickly deviated into downright silly plots as proven by the release of "Call of Duty: Zombies for iOS."
