"Thor 3" is definitely given the green light. The question now is when will fans see the god of thunder next?

In an interview with Collider, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has confirmed the return of both Thor and Captain America in their solo movies for a third time.

"Cap has already been announced, so that's up first. That's in a further stage. Thor is being outlined right now, so both in the works," Feige said.

Rumors have been going around for quite some time now that "Thor 3" will be following the Ragnarok storyline. Some experts suggest that if this were true, Tony Stark might have a hand in it too.

Moviepilot speculated, "Ragnarok has dual meaning in the Marvel Comics. On one hand, you have the saga, Ragnarok, which was the Asgardian Apocalypse, the end of their world."

"On the other hand, however, you have Ragnarok. A cyborg clone or Thor himself created by Tony Stark combining his own DNA with Asgardian DNA to replace Thor with the real Son of Odin was MIA."

However new reports might suggest that the Ragnarok storyline Marvel is going to pursue for "Thor 3" would be the apocalyptic kind. Rumor has it that the post-credits clip of the "Avengers 2: Age of Ultron" movie will reveal Loki sparking a war between Midgard and Asgard, prompting the start of the Ragnarok.

If these rumors were true, fans should brace themselves since the plot will bring an end to Asgard, killing Loki and even Thor in the process.

While there has been no definite date yet, "Thor 3" might be slated for a 2017, or even a 2018 release.
