After the CEO and Co-founder of Apple, Steve Jobs passed away in October 2011, two films telling the story of the tech icon was put into green lighting one. Ashton Kutcher starred as Jobs, was the first to launch in cinemas, but did not put a definitive image of the man on the big screen in the many eyes of the audiences.
The other Jobs film, on the other hand, is creating to be something that has the possibility to be special. Aaron Sorkin, an Oscar-winning screenwriter of The Social Network was fast to be on board, writing a script according to Steve Jobs story on Walter Isaacson.
For a time, he was doing the project alone, however, now he's collaborating with some high-profile friends. Previously, Danny Boyle signed on to be the director of the film for Sony, he directed 127 hours and Slumdog Millionaire. Now, it is confirmed that Christian Bale will play Steve Jobs.
Sorking himself broke the news during an interview with Bloomberg News, although, they are closing the book on a long casing process. When David Fincher was meeting to seal the envelope, he wanted Bale, and Sony was approving as well. Leonardo Di Carpio was Boyle's choice, but dropped out, Bale was chosen on the list, had some negotiations with the producer, and is not set to wear the signature black turtleneck.
Bale presently has the only the project on his plate is Andy Serkis' Jungle Book: Origins, which would not hit cinemas Until 2016. Considering these things, it looks as if Bale will film the Jobs biopic in the early part of 2015 before filming Serkis adaptation of Jungle Book. Although, there was an issue about scheduling, among the runners for the role, well, Sony was able to get their number 1 choice, Sorkin believes that Bale will nail it!
