The Hart of Dixie fanatics were just provided a piece of information to fire up the ongoing debate whether it is renewed or canceled. The filming schedule for the season 4 of Hart of Dixie was done fast to cope with Rachel Bilson's baby boom.
According to James King, "We shot faster because of Rachel's pregnancy. We shot until the day before. And she's taking her full maternity. I took six weeks [off after I gave birth]. Filming for Hart Of Dixie Season 4 started in June, despite the fact that a premiere date wasn't set. This is a rather early start date for a midseason show." CW shows with fall premier like The Vampires Diaries began shooting in the latter part of July.
In May it was announced the Bilson was pregnant with partner Hayden Christensen. Since then, fans have speculated if her looming motherhood affected the filming of Hart of Dixie. There will only be 10 episodes for season 4, while most CW shows have 22 episodes per season. Other fans think that the lesser number of episodes is because of low ratings. After being transferred to Friday nights, the ratings went down, but the order of short episode could be because of Bilson's pregnancy.
But still, it does not give any explanation why co-stars are bidding their farewell to the show, on social media. Scott Porter and Wilson Bethel said this was the series' end.
So is Hart Of Dixie cancelled or renewed? This is the 6 million dollar question of the sci-fi series fans. The complex thing with The CW's schedule is that it takes a couple of mini-vacations rather a long midseason break. Now that the window of opportunity, let's see at the proof, it is going to resolve this grand mystery for Hart of Dixie fans everywhere.
