Can Harrison Ford pull off a Willis Reed like return? One thing is for sure though; he doesn't have any plans on giving up that role anytime soon.

As many might already know, the leading man of the franchise who celebrated his 72nd birthday on July 13, was injured on the set of Star Wars: Episode 7 in June. This was after a door from his character's Millennium Falcon spaceship fell on him and broke his foot. And despite needing surgery and extensive rehab, he is reportedly more determined than ever not to let his injury overturn him from filming any of his action-packed movies.

In an interview on his birthday, his Star Wars co-star Andy Serkis revealed that Ford isn't letting his injury hold him back, and that he fully intends to get back to work as quickly as possible.

"He wants to get back on set as quickly as possible and get on with it," Serkis told The Independent. "Poor guy. But apparently he's been-pardon the pun-a real trouper."

According to enstarz.com:

"As Ford has been recovering from his injury, rumors have once again surfaced that he could be replaced in the still-unconfirmed Indiana Jones 5 with a younger actor. Though earlier rumors his longtime role would be recast with either Bradley Cooper or Robert Pattinson were previously debunked, ones about Pattinson have come back into the spotlight, with several reports quoting the original story about Disney wanting a younger and fresher face for the film because of the potential business opportunities a newer actor could bring."

"Disney is looking at its long-term options for the Indiana Jones franchise," earlier reports stated. "They feel that the series has huge potential on so many levels, starting with the films leading to other spin-offs like games which can generate more money than movies."

However, Pattinson previously debunked the rumors, telling reporters at a red-carpet event for his film The Rover in June that he hadn't even been approached by Disney for an opportunity.

"I don't know why. Why is that coming out?" he asked when a reported questioned him about playing the whip-cracking adventurer. "I honestly don't understand what it's all about. Man, I wish!"
