Which device is the ideal purchase? We compared the HTC One Max and the LG G Flex to see which smartphone is better.

In terms of design and display, the LG G Flex has a luxury and indestructible look, while the HTC One Max has decent design with aluminum casing. The LG device has a self healing feature, helping it disguise external scratches. HTC device uses Super LCD technology for its display, while LG handset relies on LED technology.

LG smartphone has a screen size of 6 inches, but has the dimensions of 160 x 82 x 8.7 mm, in which it looks smaller. While HTC smartphone has a screen size of 5.9 inches, and its dimensions are 165 x 83 x 10.3 mm. The HTC device has a screen resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and 373ppi, while the LG device has a screen resolution of 720 x 1280 and 245 pixel density.

For the hardware and OS, LG G Flex has a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor at 2.2GHz and 2GB RAM memory.The HTC One Max also comes with quad-core processor, but Snapdragon 600 at 1.7GHz and 2 GB RAM. The LG device can offer more internal storage(32GB) than its rival (16GB). However, LG has no external slot, while the HTC can expand its storage memory with a microSD, which comes up at 64GB.

The HTC One Max it runs on the new version of Android (4.4 KitKat), while the LG G Flex has a 4.2 Jelly Bean. However, LG supports Java, while HTC's device does not.

For battery and camera specs, the LG G Flex has a battery with a capacity of 3500 mAh, while HTC One Max has 3300 mAh. The LG device is equipped with a 13 megapixel rear camera, while HTC One Max has a 4 Ultrapixel camera. Another advantage of the LG device is that it has flash, making taking snaps during night a lot easier and with better quality. The front camera of both devices is identical at 2.1 megapixels.

The LG G Flex comes at $750, while the HTC One Max is worth $650.
