The rapper LL Cool J is set to join the expanding Marvel's cinematic universe. That is according to Cool James' Tweet message. The accomplished actor and rapper used the social media network to make the official announcement, it caused quite the stir, as you guys can imagine. The announcement was posted late night of October 30th and he was inundated immediately with Tweets asking him which superhero character he would be.
The rapper was well prepared with the questions of his followers whether he would play the role of the Black Panther, or Luke Cage. At this stage, he has not yet reacted to these questions. He just re-tweeted an old story about Vin Diesel," If you're like me, you're having flashbacks of Vin Diesel's similar and successful attempt to land him a role in the Marvel world."
Diesel was informed that he will be working out some form of deal with Marvel these past few months, until he had actually confirmed to play a role in Guardians of the Galaxy. Diesel was also engaging in tentative meetings with Marvel about the possible James Gunn, sci-fi space opera.
During the days of Guardians of the Galaxy promotion, Marvel's head-honcho Kevin Peige confirmed that Vin Diesel continues updates about his possible role with Marvel sealed the deal of his casting. He said during an interview with Wired, "There was this odd fever in the online community about what Vin was going to do with Marvel." The big question is, is LL Cool J going to the same direction that Vin Diesel used to such a superb level? It probably won't hurt to Tweet that could definitely lead to a role in one of Marvel's upcoming movie projects. This is very true for LL Cool J, who has seen his film career out to a higher degree over the last few years.
