Norman Reedus in "Air" movie engages in a different battle that has nothing to do with the flesh-eating zombies of "The Walking Dead." This time, he fights alongside Djimon Honsou to stay sane and alive in an underground bunker that stores and protects the people who could be humanity's last hope.

Hit Fix shared details about Christian Cantamessa's latest big screen offering under Skybound Entertainment founded by Robert Kirkman of "The Walking Dead." The writer-director penned the story together with Chris Pasetto.

Norman Reedus in "Air" movie worked with him in the hit horror TV series "The Walking Dead." However, in "Air" he would no longer be battling zombies.

This time, he would have to face a difficult internal conflict, fighting not only to survive but keep himself mentally sound. And he must do all these while staying true to his duties as one of the two personnel assigned to protect a group of people who could be humanity's last hope.

Reedus and Honsou are the two caretakers of the underground shelter, which serves as the primary setting for the movie. According to Coming Soon, the story follows their struggle as they take on the difficult task of watching over this special group of cryogenically frozen people. However, the situation they were in combined with the dangers of confinement and isolation that threatened their sanity, proved to be a most arduous challenge.

But as dire as the surrounding circumstances are, Oscar nominee Djimon Honsou and Norman Reedus in "Air" movie are actually playing out roles in a story that sends out a message of hope. This is how director Cantamessa described his sci-fi thriller film at the Comic-Con.

His exact thoughts on his film, as reported by Hit Fix, stated:

"It's just my way to kind of give hope that there is a future, and the best way to experience it is maybe seeing the other side first, and then you can appreciate what you've got. I think the best science-fiction is talking about our society and our world."

And with that, fans would only have to wait until the spring of 2015 to find out how Norman Reedus in "Air" movie, along with Djimon Honsou, would drive home that essential point on the big screen.
