The animation of Mario, Pikachu and Link after each version is always compared by gamers. The clips are all reported beginning on the idle animations' first frame. It is noted that some animation character have transformed from game to game, and very few are really similar. For instance, multi-hit attacks like Mario and Links standing As have the most significant frame difference, smash attacks are fully-charged or not, are very much the same between all three frame-wise version and lastly, characters are adapted from game to game which means not all attacks have the same animations, in this case Pikachu Thunder attack in the 3DS version than the two.
Fans say, the normal grounded moves are not the element to identify smash games speed, like recovery of aerials, aerial speed and fall speed. Most of the recoveries on 3DS aerials are definitely worse than Brawl. The fall speeds of Brawl have sped up, but both are floaty and feathery as compared to Melee's speed. Its recovery on aerials also largely surpasses all other games too. Generally speaking, Melee is faster than Brawl but not by a notable margin.
Other gamers say that Melee got faster animation than Brawl but the entire gameplay seems slow, but it still has the better gameplay than brawl.
The new Super Smash Bros, was launched early this year for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U was gearing to be a comeback to the more four player hardcore game experience of its predecessor of Game Cube, by director Masahiro Sakurai. The director explained that most of the gameplay changes come to 3DS and Wii U fighter. He also talked about some features have stayed the same and others were removed. The Super Smash Bros speed and styles for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS was created to live between Brawl and Melee for Game Cube.
