Finally! We can now go back and edit all the typos in our Instagram captions. On Monday, the firm released an update that puts the feature to modify photo captions after they are posted and adds new suggestions to Instagram's Explore menu. It had long annoying for users to auto-correct everywhere, the app did not let users to change captions after an image or video is posted, making users to post corrections as comments, re-write or delete the caption completely. Here are some parts of the announcement of Instagram in their blog post:
"Today, we're pleased to announce a bundle of updates and improvements designed to help you discover more on Instagram.
In this update, we're continuing to improve the Explore page on Instagram by making it faster to find people you want to follow. With this in mind, you'll see that the Explore icon at the bottom of your screen has changed to a magnifying glass. When you open Explore, you'll now see two tabs: Photos and People. The Photos tab has not changed. It contains the same scrolling grid of photos and videos you already know. The new People tab highlights interesting accounts for you to discover.
This has been one of the top requests that we've heard from the community, and we're excited to finally bring it to you today," Instagram wrote in a blog post.
To edit a caption, tap the menu button [...] underneath a post and select edit. Edited captions will include a note indicating the post was edited when a user views the comments."
How do we edit our captions? We could click the Explore menu, which shows popular posts, has now been divided into two tabs: People and photos. The photos tab shows the same posts as the Explore Menu did in preceding forms of the app, videos and photos famous in our family and friends trends among the larger Instagram community. The new People tab show suggestions of new accounts to follow, like people you are connected on other social networks like Facebook, along with a preview of the recent posts of other users in your network.
