The Skyrim Mash-Up pack was introduced for Minecraft's Xbox 360 edition in 2013 and gave gamers character skins, textures, music, recreated UI and an opportunity to go in-depth locations from Mojang's indie blockbuster from Bethesda's RPG.
4J first verified on Twitter it would acquire DLC to Sony's platforms, explaining while PlayStation platforms would also buy Skyrim Pack, it would not be this month. During the interview of Mojang with IGN, "It is going to be cool really awesome and we think it is really cool to continue the co-operation with Bethesda. Don't have a release date but we're working on it as fast as we possibly can. It will be soonish!"
Recently Mojang bought by Microsoft when Minecraft's creator Markus 'Notch' Persson said that he would go back to the freedom of working on small projects instead. Some are worried that this mean Xbox producer would cripple ports or cancel the game to Sony platforms, but Microsoft has since guaranteed fans it has no intention to restrict Minecraft's sense of transparency.
The company bought Mojang for $2.5 billion USD in September after some speculations circulated in August. Microsoft anticipates to break-even on their multi-billion investments in acquiring Mojang by June 2015, based on the shareholder relations release from September.
Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft explained during the acquisition, "Gaming is a top activity spanning devices, from PCs and consoles to tablets and mobile, with billions of hours spent each year. Minecraft is more than a great game franchise - it is an open world platform, driven by a vibrant community we care deeply about, and rich with new opportunities for that community and for Microsoft."
After the acquisition of Mojang, the founders Jakob Porser, Markus Notch Persson and Carl Manneh left the firm. They said that after the buy-off announcement, they are after sanity and not the money.
