In 1995, the Blue Lagoon actress Brooke Shields wrote a book encouraging teenage girls to save their virginity for marriage. The truth is, Brooke Shields lost her virginity ten years before her marriage to tennis superstar Andre Agassi, at the age of 22. Now, the actress discloses she had a strange reaction to losing her virginity to Superman actor Dean Cain, her classmate in Princeton. As she narrated in her new memoir: There Was A Little Girl.
"Afterwards I got so overwhelmed that I jumped out of my bed. I actually kind of tumbled off it and started running' she writes in her new memoir There Was A Little Girl. 'I was buck naked streaking down a hallway and running like I had just stolen someone's wallet.
Dean leapt up and ran after me with the comforter in his arms. He hugged me tight and asked me where I was going. I was afraid I was leaving my mother.
'I didn't know where I began and where my mother ended and that meant I didn't know how to fit Dean in.'
Having been brought up in the spotlight by her stage mother Teri, Brooke had been 'terrified of physical contact with boys' and even says: 'I believe my mom wanted me to stay a virgin for as long as possible."
Brooke Shields played a child prostitute in 1978 movie Pretty Baby and Teen girl Emmeline in 1980s, she felt her mother's presence in her entire life, particularly when she was dating Cain, who went on playing Superman in Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman.
After breaking up with Dean, she had a relationship with Liam Neeson, JFK Jr. and John Travolta. She also had a deep friendship with Michael Jackson whom she met when she was 13.
