Nate Diaz's next fight opponent believes that the younger Diaz does not deserve to face him. The former lightweight title contender, on the other hand, asserted that he is underpaid by the UFC.

Nate Diaz's next fight is scheduled to take place against top contender Rafael Dos Anjos as the co-main event bout at UFC on FOX 13 on December 13 in Phoenix, Arizona. It will be Diaz's first fight since November 2013, after deciding to go on a self-imposed hiatus, stressing that he is not being compensated fairly.

While Nate Diaz's next fight is not getting as much attention as it has been in the past, "RDA" had spoken up about his task at hand.

"I accepted this fight because I wanna be in shape and fight around the same time of the title fight," Dos Anjos said during his appearance at Monday's edition of The MMA Hour.

The Brazilian lightweight contender even went as far as saying that the younger Diaz is not deserving of the opportunity to face him.

"To be honest, I think no, he doesn't deserve (this fight)," Dos Anjos said. "But like I said, I accepted this fight because I wanna be active, I wanna be in shape, and I wanna fight at the same time of the title fight because we have a good time to fight next."

Meanwhile, Diaz has maintained that he is still not fairly compensated financially by the UFC. Despite signing a new fight deal with the company, the 29-year old native of Stockton, California claims that he has been "underpaid and underappreciated."

"I feel like I've been taken advantage of for a lot of years with the whole situation," Diaz said in his appearance on former UFC fighter Chael Sonnen's podcast "You're Welcome."

Despite his qualms, Diaz, did say that he is ready to get back into contention.

"I was trying to get a fight going on, but at the same time I didn't want - it was a whole mess going on," Diaz explained. "But everything got cleared, up and I'm ready to get back to work and do my thing."
