Ben Affleck's speech at the 2014 Hollywood Films Awards last Friday was almost not safe for work.

Ben Affleck's speech accepted the award for Best Film for "Gone Girl." The "Batman Vs Superman: Dawn of Justice" actor referenced his frontal nude scene, also his director David Fincher for arranging it.

"First, I want to take this opportunity to thank David, for the way he treated me. In particular, we had a shower scene in the movie and David assured me, because trust is essential as an actor, 'Listen, if we tilt down we'll never go far enough to see anything.' So, thank you David, and I'd like to thank you for keeping the set cool, because if you're going to have one chance for America to see your junk, you want it to be cold... That's a real gift."

Affleck was the only representative for the film during the event, accepting the award in Fincher's behalf. The actor also poked fun at Fincher's compulsion to shoot multiple takes of scenes, which apparently made his nude shower scene more memorable.

"Just one or two more takes, and we're going to have it." The cold temperature of the shoot put him at a disadvantage, but he's hoping 3D effects will make up for it.

In an earlier interview with E! Magazine, Affleck expected Fincher to keep the scene "real," in terms of showcasing his anatomy.

"I think there's some brief nudity in this movie. Director David [Fincher] said to me from the beginning, 'This is a warts and all movie. It can have no vanity. You have to see the naked underbelly of this character.' It's gotta be like in Europe, they just don't give a s--t about any of that stuff and they just play real people. So that was the spirit of the thing and we kind of stuck to that, me and Rosamund [Pike]. There is some brief, um, very brief nudity, I think."

Ben Affleck is Bruce Wayne in the anticipated "Batman Vs Superman" movie, scheduled for release 2016.
