The "Bosch" TV series on Amazon is an original crime drama that is scheduled to hit the little screen in 2015. Its plot, which follows the story of LAPD homicide detective Bosch, is based on author Michael Connelly's bestselling book series.

The Verge has featured the latest trailer of the program. It starts out with the scene of a man opening a man hole. He then proceeds to investigate it cautiously with his gun held out before him. A voice-over can be heard speaking in the background: it is Detective Bosch of the "Bosch" TV series on Amazon," and he was talking about himself.

From there, choice clips of crime, a city and events in Bosch's life flash on the screen. In his voice-over, he mentioned his belief in justice: that it should be given in this life, not the next one. By the time the trailer is about to end, he then introduces himself through a recorded conversation that involves a woman asking him his name.

As The Verge has observed, the trailer does point out to the fact that "Bosch" is a crime drama. However, they noted that despite the trailer, it still remains to be seen how the show would be like.

IMDB has shared a gist of what viewers can expect from the original pilot of the "Bosch" TV series on Amazon. They said that for the upcoming debut, the show would follow the story of the detective's investigation of the murder of a 13-year old boy. While busy with the case, he faces the challenge of being on trial for killing a serial killer.

Will this be the only case Detective Bosch would tackle in the series? Based on Michael Connelly's web site, he had 21 cases that translated to 21 books, one case narrated for each. So far, the network has not revealed anything about whether or not all cases in the books would figure in the series. Viewers would have to wait until next year when they reveal the show's official release date.
