The new "Pitch Perfect 2" trailer is out, with surprises in tow for Green Bay Packers fans.

The new "Pitch Perfect 2" trailer builds the hype, with Barden Bellas out for a second from the 2012 original. Elizabeth Banks wears several hats in production: aside from directing, she also co-stars and produces the sequel.

The big news is for American Football fans, though. It's been confirmed five of the Green Bay Packers are making an appearance in the film, lasting longer than a cameo.

Clay Matthews, David Bakhtiari, Josh Sitton, T.J. Lang and Don Barclay's appearance were previewed on the "Pitch Perfect 2" trailer, in a brief night club scene.

"A lot of determination by Dave (Bakhtiari) to set the whole thing up - determination-slash-desperation, because he was at it quite a bit trying to get a hold of the producers to get us in the movie. Shockingly, they actually let us in after all his desperate tweets and phone calls and emails. It was fun," Lang said.

Matthews comments: "We have to thank (Dave) for his creepiness. He had to do a lot of lobbying, but he came through, and more power to him."

The five packers confirmed their roles in the sequel will involve dancing and singing, with more details kept under wraps.

Elizabeth Banks, on the other hand, confirmed helming production for the "Pitch Perfect" sequel is a tall order. In ABC News interview:

"It's a big responsibility, but I was really excited to take it on and try to do it confidently. [The original] was lightning in a bottle and it was such a surprise to see how the movie was received. The whole 'Cups' phenomenon was a surprise to all of us. It came from the authenticity of the movie, and this time around we were really aiming to do that again and be pure in our intention to tell more of the story of these characters that people have fallen in love with."

"Pitch Perfect" 2 release date is pegged for May 15, 2015.
