There's a new Motorola Droid Turbo release, and it's exclusively retailed at Best Buy.
The new Motorola Droid Turbo release is out, and Best Buy has exclusive retail rights. There's yet another smartphone option to consider for your Black Friday shopping.
Moto releases a blue version of the smartphone, in complement to the red and black versions already available. It won't be available at other stores, but you can still opt for the unit with a Verizon subscription.
Though the blue Motorola Droid Turbo release date is still unconfirmed, it's expected to come out this holiday season. The unit is tagged as "coming soon" at the retailer site, but could be available in a few days, in time for Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday.
Price point for the Moto phone stays at $199.99, bundled with a two-year contract (Verizon); the standalone unit costs as much as $699.99 (gsmarena.com).
An early Motorola Droid Turbo review measures a top-of-the line smartphone with a steep price point to boot. Great battery life complements demanding specs; up to 48 hours of talk time, 675 hours stand by. The, 5.2-inch display is high-res at 1440 x 2560 pixels, with a 21MP camera to boot.
The Droid Turbo is an efficient high-end phone from a reliable manufacturer, but there are better alternatives from other brands on the market. For Moto fans, though, the new release won't disappoint.
"... the Turbo still has a capable 21-megapixel camera and bright display, which together offer a solid shooting and media experience. Fans of stock Android will also like the phone's barely skinned UI, and it's one of the most powerful handsets on the market. (Its bleeding-edge Snapdragon 805 processor for example, is lightning fast and only available in a few devices so far.)
Perhaps the Turbo's ace in the hole though, is its monster battery capacity. Continuing the Droid family's legacy of phones that keep going and going and going, the handset promises a battery that not only charges fast, but one that offers more hours of juice than its competitors." (cnet.com)
Watch out for the Motorola Droid Turbo release, expected within this week in time for Black Friday.
