Sony Computer Entertainment Systems Hacked As #GOP Is Asking For A Ransom From The Firm In Exchange Of Secret Data!

The computer network of Sony Pictures Entertainment has been reportedly hacked, forcing the firm to shut its systems completely.

According to an alleged former Sony Pictures and Reddit poster has uploaded a photo, which he appeared to claim all of Sony Pictures computers screens. The image shows the system has been breached by #GOP, which looks like hacker group Guardians of Peace. The ransom-style message also shown in the image, stating the group will reveal Sony's secret data if its demands are not met.

The deadline for revealing the data is 6PM eastern time today. "We already warned you, and this is just a beginning. We continue till our request is met. We've obtained all of your internal data including your secrets and top secrets. If you don't obey us, we'll release the data shown below to the world," says the message.

Based on the report of BBC, Sony pictures released a statement through Wee Teck Loo, head of consumer electronics research that the IT matter is under investigation.

"Three years ago, the hack on PlayStation network was massive, expensive and absolutely embarrassing. This time round, I don't believe that there will be massive damage, save for Sony's ego, even if the hack is real,"

The ICT senior industry analyst, Charles Lim of Frost & Sullivan Asia Pacific, "In this breach, GOP claimed to have accessed private keys, source codes, password files and even their production schedule and notes, and that will raise questions,"

ony Pictures has alarmed workers not to access email or connect with corporate networks. Different source at the firm states the firm shows the issue might take any place from a day to a month to be solved. The firm is no stranger to breach attacks, its PlayStation Network was breached in 2011 and then again in August this year, Sony Pictures was also breached in June 2011, disclosing 37,000 users' private data.
