StarWars.com has finally confirmed that the 88 second teaser trailer of Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be in nine Regal Cinemas in the weekend, but will premiere in from of movies in 30 locations over a few theater chains.
There was a great disturbance in the Force on Monday morning, despite of this, no one really knows where or when the first Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer will premiere. What fans only know is that it will be 88 seconds long and it will be on Friday.
JJ Abrams the Episode VII director tweet one of his hand-written messages on Monday, just a couple of hours after Regal Enterntainment Group, the largest movie theater in the country, leaked what seemed to be a list of nine places place that will premiere the 88 seconds trailer for paying customers, Boston, New York, Cleaveland, Philadelphia, Nashville, Dallas, Vancouver Chicago, Detroit, Miami, Atlanta, Toronto and San Diego, etc.
That wasn't really part of the game plan, however, Abrams has gotten used to responding to leaks. The Tennessee-based Regal theater company isn't reacting to messages and media inquiries, while Disney have not returning any calls and emails either.
On the other hand, Mashable has talked with some industry sources who are greatly dubious like a high profile sneak would get into a small viewer, the more possibly a scenario is that Regal is just a part of a broader plan that hasn't been made clear entirely.
So what really happened here?
Well, the film seems to go based on the game plan. Plot details, concept images, set photos, security leaks has been circulating as sturdy as Harrison Ford's ankle. Fans should stay tuned for what is going to happen next to have more definitive answers, once Lucasfilm and Disney gets it stormtroopers in line.
