Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade for 2014 had the action and fun celebration everybody is looking for. CNN Money reported that the yearly traditional thanksgiving parade in New York City broadcasted live in NBC gained 22.6 million viewership this year, Nov. 27, 2014, within 9 a.m. to noon, Eastern time.

For Thanksgiving 2013, it was reported that a total of 25.2 million people viewed the traditional parade, from a mere 22.4 million viewers in 2012.

The parade took place, thanks to hosts Matt Lauer, Savannah Guthrie and Al Roker. NBC noted that the event was one of the TV specials that gained high ratings on the current TV season.

Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade for 2014 was a work of art in collaboration of NBC and Macy's. CBS also broadcasts what is known as the "unofficial" TV special of the same parade. However, CNN Money reported that the ratings for such TV special have not been disclosed yet.

After airing the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade for 2014 on Nov. 27, NBC broadcasted another Thanksgiving favorite TV special called, ""National Dog Show Presented by Purina." This TV special gained 10.3 million viewers on the same network. This viewership rating took a dip from 10.7 million viewers for the same TV special the previous year.

Spider Man and Hello Kitty were among the popular characters featured in NBC's Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade for 2014.
